Azerbaijan’s Transport Ministry Announces a Bid on Reconstruction of Yevlakh-Ganja Highway
Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / Azeryolservis JSC (road construction) of the Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan announced a bid to select company for the reconstruction of Yevlakh-Ganja ( 53 km) highway, the Ministry informs.
The applications for the bid will begin to be accepted on 20 July. The results will be announced on 29 August 2007. The Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan and Saudi Development Fund have signed a credit agreement to finance the reconstruction of Yevlakh-Ganja highway. The agreement was signed by the Vice President of the Fund, Josef al Bass and Transport Minister of Azerbaijan, Ziya Mammadov.
The cost of the project is $61.7 mln. Nearly 15% of the finance will be provided by Azerbaijan. In addition, the project will be financed by the Islamic Development Bank.
