Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend U.Ismaylova / The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan reports that in the first half year, twenty-three accidents took place in the construction sector and as a result, thirteen people died and eleven sustained injuries of various degrees.
The Ministry reports that as a result of falling from high buildings, six people died, three people received injuries of various degrees, and one man died as a result of coming into contact with electricity.
Over the reported period, 33% of the fatal outcomes resulted from workers ignoring or breaking worker safety or security rules.
