Territory of Palestine Favorable for Foreign Investing: Head of Palestinian Securities Market
According to Hassan Abu Lubdah, the head of the securities market of Palestine, the territory of Palestine is considered to be favorable for foreign investments and is becoming more profitable than other Arab areas.
In an interview with Al-Jazeera, he stressed that Palestine attaches great significance to foreign investments and noted that it is linked with the political situation and the current transition period, which is impossible without capital investing.
Lubdah also noted that there are reasons hindering foreign investing. "One of them is political horizons, which are not bright or calm. The investors are afraid of any steps and they should be accused of it," Lubdah said.
The Palestinian exchange consolidated its relations with other exchanges and made some establishment in the local and international arenas. Speaking on the situation of the securities market, Lubdah noted that permanent increase and drop in stock is observed because of blows to Palestine at times.
"Foreign investors hope for the improvement of the situation. Should the government undertakes the resolution of a financial problem, ensure the superiority of the law, and settle the political and economic problems, favorable grounds can be created for both sides," he added.
