Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend A.Ismayilova / Azer Gasimov, the spokesman for the Azerbaijani President, stated in Baku on 31 July that Jordan was interested in cooperating with Azerbaijan regarding cargo deliveries, particularly from Asia.
This issue was discussed during the visit of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to Jordan on 29-30 July.
Gasimov said that the goods turnover between the two countries is very high. However, the economic relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan are not as developed as the political relations. "Economic relations do not correspond to the existing potential of the two countries," he added.
He emphasized that after the signing of the documents by the Azerbaijani President in Jordan, economic cooperation between the two countries will be elevated.
