Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. U. Ismayilova / Kyrgyzstan's Government intends to adopt Azerbaijan's experience in the extractive industry transparency initiative (EITI), the PR Manager of Kyrgyzstan's EITI Coalition, Yelena Chereminina, said on 4 October.
According to her, although Kyrgyzstan like Azerbaijan became a member of the EITI in 2004, the field is not developing in the country due to its recent unstable political situation.
In her opinion, the introduction of EITI in Kyrgyzstan is impeded by the lack of transparency in the country's laws which result in large State contracts being unavailable to the public.
