SOCAR Postpones Tender on Sale of Oil Consignment from Ceyhan Port

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has postponed the results of tender on the sale of its own oil, branded Azeri Light, from the Turkish Port of Ceyhan to 12 October. The oil is delivered to the Port via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, according to a source from SOCAR

The volume of oil in the consignment is equal to 1mln barrels of oil (135,000 tons). The shipment is expected to take place between 30 October to 1 November.

On 5 October the price of crude Azeri light from Ceyhan was $78.62 per barrel (up $1.28 per barrel compared to the previous price).

SOCAR oil consignments from the Ceyhan Port have been purchased by the following companies in 2007:

Glencore Energy UK Ltd - January (1mln barrels);

VILMA OIL SL - January-February (1mln barrels);

Select Energy GmbH - February (600,000 barrels);

Select Energy GmbH - February-March (1mln barrels);

Glencore Energy UK Ltd - March (1mln barrels);

Addax BV - March (1mln barrels);

Sumato Energy Group Ltd - April (1mln barrels);

Select Energy GmbH - April (1mln barrels);

Arcadia Petroleum Limited - May (2mln barrels).

OMV Supply & Trading - May (1mln barrels);

Vitol SA - June (1mln barrels)

Shell - June (1mln barrels).

Sumato Energy - July (1mln barrels).

Exxon-Mobil - October (1mln barrels).
