Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Aliyev / Drilling of the second development well in Azerbaijani prospect structure of the Inam prroject is expected to be commenced at the end of 2007, Greig Reily, the manager on exploration drilling of BP company, said during the assessment of influence of drilling in Inam to the environment and social sphere.
The depth of the second development well is 5,300 metres. Drilling of the well is expected to complete in April 2008. The well will be drilled in the depths of 186 metres in 40km apart the cost.
Earlier there were attempts to drill the well. However, due to high pressure drilling was suspended.
"Special preventers have been installed to drill the well on drilling rig, Reily said.
The share holding in the Inam project is BP - 25%, SOCAR - 50%, KNOC - 20% and Shell - 5%.
Korean National Oil Company (KNOC) signed an agreement on 10 October with Shell on purchase of 20% from 25% share holding of the Britain-Holland company in exploration and development prospects of the Inam project.
