Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Aliyev / Some 25,46bln cu m of gas and 52,131mln tons of oil is expected to produce in Azerbaijan in 2008 in accord with the budget forecasts for 2008-2011.
The total volume of gas to be produced in Azerbaijan in 2008, with approximately 10,44bln cu m of casing-head gas produced in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field, 7.02bln cu m of gas produced in Shah Daniz field, and 8bln cu m of gas produced by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) itself.
In 2008, 43.381mln of the total volume will go to the Azerbaijani International Operating Company and 8.750mln to the SOCAR.
The gas production indices are expected to be increased, excluding SOCAR, in the next years. The gas production volume by SOCAR will not change and stand at 8bln cu m.
Oil production indices will be increasing by 2010 due to increase of oil production by the Azerbaijani International Operating Company (AIOC). SOCAR will annually reduce oil production by 50,000 tons.
