Azerbaijan, Barda / Trend corr. S.Jaliloglu / Pipe corrosion became the reason for gas escape which caused explosion in the Yevlakh region of Azerbaijan on 28 November, Ramiz Adigozalov, the chief of the Gas Exploitation Department of Barda region of Azerbaijan, reported.
The pipe was laid under ground and salinization became the main reason for corrosion.
The gas supply to the region will be restored on 29 November. Barda and Tartar regions will be provided with natural gas.
