Waste collected at sites has a negative impact on the environment and their production of methane gas, which is dangerous to human health. Taking into consideration the danger of marsh-gas to the nearby settlements, utilizing this waste is important.

Mitsubishi for the first time offered the revival of acting garbage polygons at own funds during the use of the pure development strategy mechanism.

As a result of the implementation of the project, it is intended to receive a certificate on decrease of the gas emission. Azerbaijan intends to appeal to the UN for permission to sell its quotas for utilized gas.
