Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 January /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / The drilling of the next exploration well was completed by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in southern part of West Apsheron field, a source stated in the SOCAR. The well is 700 meters in depth.
The work is being carried out in the field to study the data. Depending upon the results, a decision will be made for the further exploration drilling in this field. Most probably the drilling will be continuing, the same source stated.
The SOCAR intends to carry out the development program of this part of the field. The first platform will be established, to connect the three drilled gas wells. The approximate capacity of the wells is 250,000 cu.m. of the gas per day. It will enable to transfer to a new method of production - gaslift method.
