Azerbaijan, Baku, 21 January / Trend / In 2007 the oil and gas producing units of the State Oil Companiy of Azebaijan (SOCAR), operating in offshore and onshore fields, produced approxmately 7.6mln tons of oil, a decrease of 2.1% from 2006, SOCAR said. In December the enterprises whch are part of Azneft Production Association, extracted 620,000 tons of oil.
The highest volume of oil production was from 28 May OGPU, which develops the Gunashli field - 5.3mln tons of oil, or 3.4% less than 2006.
