Electricity Consumption in Azerenerji Networks Decreases by 3.5 bln KWt/h

Azerbaijan, Baku, 24 January / Trend / The consumption of electricity in the distributing networks in 46 Azerbaijani region controlled by Azerenerji Joint Stock Company has decreased in 2007 and totaled to 6.5 bln KWt/h against 9.4 bln. KWt/h in 2006, Joint Stock Company (JSC) said on 24 January. The distributing networks of the several regions included into the Sheki Regional Electricity Network JSC were given to the management in the mid-January.

The electricity consumption decreased due to the installation of the meters and the reconstruction of electricity distributing networks. 640 bln KWt/h electricity have consumed through the networks of these regions in December of 2007 compared to 860 bln KWt/h in 2006.

The collections for the supplied electricity amounted to 72% in 2007.
