Trend K.Konirova / The USA has always supported and will support new Trans-Caspian projects, said Steven Mann, the US Department of State's Advisor for Caspian Basin Energy Diplomacy, on 25 January in Astana while answering the question of Trend Special Correspondent.
"Obviously, today we observe all growing gas demands in Europe and we consider that the Caspian region has an ideal geographic location to become a good source for these supplies," Mann said.
With regards to the future of the Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline, Steven Mann said: "For a long time, the USA has been supporting both Trans-Caspian gas pipeline and oil pipeline. Let's see how the oil companies will assess its economic benefits. I think that their response will be 'yes'".
