SOCAR Should Enter Romania’s Energy Market Comprehensively – SOCAR President

Azerbaijan, Baku, 14 March / Trend corr S. Aliyev/ The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is considering the set variant of possible investing into the energy sector of Romania. At present, company is researching the market, the SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said on 14 March.

" Romania's energy market is very specific, in which the total oil processing comprises about 25mln tons. However, that amount exceeds the country's domestic demand. Therefore, the possible investing should be considered comprehensively, including refining, retail, transportation," Abdullayev said.

SOCAR operates its investment infrastructure projects in Georgia and Turkey, including the Kulevi oil terminal at the Black Sea and the Turkish petrochemical complex Petkim, and is establishing its oil product retail network in Georgia.
