Azerbaijan, Baku, 1 April / Trend / SOCAR announced that from Jan to March 2008 the Marketing and Economic Operations Department of SOCAR's export of oil products from the oil refinery plants of Azerbaijan made up 555,200 tons. From Jan to March 2007, the company exported 448,200 tons of the oil products. Bitumen and lubricants were not exported this year.
Oil products in Azerbaijan are produced at two Baku oil refineries- with the total capacity of 20mln tons of oil per year. Both refineries are owned by SOCAR, which annually processes over 6mln tons of oil produced in the offshore and onshore fields with its own funds.
