Azerbaijan, Baku, 3 April / Trend corr E. Ismayilov/ The Geophysics and Geology Administration at the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is re-equipping its own exploration vessels preparing them for the offshore exploration work, the Department reported on 2 April.
Presently, the Administration is also receiving orders and is negotiating on using its own vessels.
The Administration owns the Geofisician-1, Geofisiain-2 and Geofisian-3, as well as the Baki vessel. The Geofisician-1 and Geofisiain-2 were upgraded. The Baki was used by Caspian Geophysical in the Indian Ocean and was returned to SOCAR in 2004.
