Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 April / Trend corr. E.Ismayilov / Some 129mln KWt/h electric energy was produced in the Khachmaz electric station, which provides the north region of Azerbaijan with electric energy, in the first quarter against 124mln KWt/h in 2007.
Over 30mln KWt/h electric energy was produced in March.
By the order of the Azerbaijani President, Azerenergy JSC was commissioned to construct and put into commission 52 modular stations in Baku, Nakhchivan, Astara, Khachmaz and Shaki regions. The stations are working on natural gas. Construction of the electric station enables electric energy production to be increased by 450 or 460 MWt in Azerbaijan.
