Azerbaijan, Baku, 16 April / corr. Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has closed the tender on sale of its own oil, branded Azeri Light, from the Turkish Port of Ceyhan. The oil is delivered to the Port via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, according to a source at SOCAR
The British trader Arcadia Petroleum Limited has won the tender. The volume of oil in the consignment is approximately 1mln barrels. The shipment is expected to take place between 7 and 9 May.
SOCAR oil consignments from the Ceyhan Port was purchased by the following companies in 2007:
Arcadia Petroleum Limited - February (1mln barrels);
Arcadia Petroleum Limited - April (950,000 barrels).
Arcadia Petroleum Limited - May (1mln barrels).
