About 20 SOCAR-Branded Petrol Stations to be in Operation in Georgia by End of 2008

Azerbaijan, Baku, 21 April / Trend corr S. Aliyev/ "SOCAR Georgia, the subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, will put into operation 6 SOCAR-branded petrol stations in Georgia on 25 April," Mahir Mammadov, head of SOCAR Georgia, said on 21 April.

"The company plans to put 18 petrol stations into operation by the end of the year which will be disseminated all over Georgia," Mammadov said.

According to Mammadov, presently, SOCAR supplies about 30,000 tons of oil products, including petrol, diesel fuel, liquefied gas and other products. The supply of Bitumen is expected to be increased in the summer.
