Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 April / Trend corr S. Aliyev/ Azerbaijan does not rule out that this year State Oil Company (SOCAR) will export up to 1mln cu m of its own gas per day to Georgia. On 23 April, a high-ranking SOCAR representative said that on 25 April the issue on sale of SOCAR gas to Georgia will be finally solved.
"The issue is being currently discussed. The price for gas is being considered," he said.
In 2007, Azerbaijan was supplying SOCAR gas to Georgia at a cost of $120 per 1,000 cu m, but this year the price is expected to be raised to $180-$190 per 1,000 cu m.
SOCAR owns gas which it produces itself.
