Georgia Increases Electric Energy Export to Russia

Georgia, Tbilisi, 23 April / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / Georgia has increased the volume of electric energy export to Russia. According to the Georgian Electric System commercial operator, export prevails import daily and reaches 4.040mln kW and import - 1.943mln Kw.

Besides import, Georgia has its own sources - seasonal heat and hydroelectric power stations. Most electric energy is produced in the Inguri hydroelectric power station- with daily production of 9.293mln KWt.

The electric energy production in the counrty, as for 22 April, made up 23,764mln KWt and daily use of electric energy comprises 20,667mln KWt..
