Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 April / Trend / SOCAR reported that the repair of a Vikhr-3 fire ship is currently being carried out at in the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) shipyard. The repair of the aqua vessel 'Ismet Gayibov' is currently underway.
The shipyard concluded work on the fire ship Vikhr 11. The ocean vessel, which is capable of operating irrespective of weather conditions, has an ice-breaker in its forebody, and can operate in the open sea for 25 days continuously. The vessel has two rescue boats with 37 passenger seats and capable of passing through spaces unsuitable for large vessels. Furthermore, the repair of the vessel for towage and provision of Oktay Veliyev vessel is also complete.
The Caspian Sea Fleet has seven Vikhr express fire vessels being used by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
