Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 June / Trend / State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) reported that in January to May, 2008, it drilled 87,832m, which is more by 4,917m than forecasted and more by 5,522m than in the same period of last year. A total of 16,328m was drilled in May.
In January to May, production drilling totalled 85,552m, which is more by 4,727m than forecasted and more by 6,874m than in the same period of last year. Production drilling comprised 16,227m in May.
Exploration drilling comprised 2,280m in the accounted period, which is by 190m more than forecasted and less by 1,352m than in 2007. Exploration drilling totalled 101m in May.
