Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 July /corr. Trend E.Ismaylov / Currently the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) supplies nearly 1.5mln cu.m of gas to Georgia per day, a Government source said on 10 July.
The cost of the supplied gas was not disclosed. However, it is clear that it should be more as compared to the prices last year. In 2007 Azerbaijan supplied gas to Georgia for $120 per thus. cu.m. The prices are expected to increase up to $180-$190 per thus. cu.m.
Georgia purchases part of gas in Russia for $235 per thus. cu.m.
SOCAR possesses own gas being produced independently.
