corr. K.Konirova/ American Halliburton has signed a
memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the KazMunayGaz JSC and its
affiliated companies KazMunayTeniz and KMG-Service, according to Kazakh Prime
Minister's press service.
On 22 October, Prime
Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov met with David Lesar, Chairman of the
Board of Directors, President and CEO of Halliburton, which culminated in the
signing of the memorandum.
"The meeting discussed
prospects of the company's operations in Kazakhstan, in particular, the
Halliburton joint projects in the country," press service said.
Prime Minister emphasized the need for training and retraining of Kazakh specialists.
In turn, Lesar reaffirmed Halliburton's commitment to human capital development in Kazakhstan. In conclusion, the parties noted the existence of full understanding and working conditions for foreign investors in Kazakhstan.
