Azerbaijan, Baku, 7 November / Trend / From January to October the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery Plant (former Azneftyanajag) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) produced 153,000 tons of oil coke as compared to about 62,000 tons in the same period of 2007, the SOCAR said.
Total amount of oil coke production made up 85,000 tons in the country in 2007.
A total of 67,240 tons of coke was produced in 2006. This enterprise did not produce oil coke in 2005. The Russian aluminum plants are major consumers of the Azerbaijani oil coke.
