Azerbaijan, Baku, 8 November / Trend /Azneft joint venture (oil and gas production) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) completed the drilling of the first well in the Gunashli -11 on the Gunashli offshore field. Currently, the new well is being developed.
Under the project, six gas wells are expected to drill and put into operation. Totally seven gas wells are planned to put into operation fin the Gunashli offshore filed.
The Gunashli- n11 platform, where 16 wells will be drilled, was put into operation in 1986. All wells were drilled and put into operation. In December 2006, an additional block was joined to the platform. The block's height is 113 metres , weight - 1,060 tons and it was set up in the depth of 102 metres..
