Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 November / Trend corr. S.Aliyev/ "If extra exploration is carried out, the proven oil reserves of Azerbaijan may be increased from current 2bln bbl to 5bln bbl," Azerbaijani Minister for Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev said on 13 November.
According to the Minister, Azerbaijan will export about 208mln tons of oil within next four years.
"Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate and is the leading country in the region in terms of energy. Azerbaijan supports many projects in the region, and they will ensure energy security in Europe," said Minister.
Representatives of the energy ministries of 22 countries are currently meeting in Baku. They will discuss, in particular, creation of the Asia-Caucasus-Europe corridor. A declaration will be signed as a consequence of the meeting.
