Azerbaijan, Baku, November 18/ Trend , corr A. Badalova/ Global financial crisis and difficulties in providing finance can delay gas production of Russia and make it to rely more on import of fuel from the Caspian Sea region and Central Asia, President of Eurogaz Dominiko Dispentsa said while addressing 6th international forum Russian Gas -2008 in Moscow on November 18.
Dispentsa said some Russian projects can turn out to be favorable compared to other suppliers, but world crisis will somehow have an impact on gas projects as well.
"Sharing production and gas supply will take place in Russia as in other countries across the world. Difficulties in providing finance for new streams can have long-term consequences," Dispentsa said in his speech televised by Vesti TV channel.
Dispentsa said the other reason for complication of supply of gas is uncertainty that transit countries of Russian gas have towards Europe.
"Such countries are affected from credit crisis most of all. Their national budget problems can create a potential for difficulties for transit to Europe," Dispentsa said.
