Azerbaijan, Baku, 27 November / corr Trend A.Badalova / "Intergovernmental agreement on Nabucco gas pipeline project will be signed in Ankara during first half-year of 2009," Dimitr Ikonomov, a Bulgarian special representative in the project, said at a special sitting of the Hungarian parliamentary committee, MTI - Econews said.
Development of the draft intergovernmental agreement, envisaging operational and legal routine on pipeline, will be finished at any moment, Mihaly Bayer, a Hungarian special representative in Nabucco project said.
For the time being global financial and economic crisis has not influenced on the project, Bayer said.
Definition of the date to sign the intergovernmental agreement depends on Turkey in many respects, he said. Turkish representatives, who took part in the energy summit in Baku in mid-November, stated that Ankara had a political will to implement Nabucco project, Bayer said
Nabucco gas pipeline with the cost of $12.4bln will transport natural gas from Azerbaijan and Central Asia to the European Union (EU) countries. The construction is planned to be finished in 2013.
Nabucco shareholders are the Austrian OMV, Hungarian MOL, Bulgarian Bulgargaz, Romanian Transgaz, Turkish Botas and German RWE with the stake of 16.67 % each.
