Georgian Black Sea Terminal of Poti Announces Trans-Shipped Cargo Consignment
Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 December / Trend , corr. E.Ismaylov /The consignment of trans-shipped cargo via the Georgian Black Sea terminal of Poti in January to September made up 6.03mln tons against 5.8mln tons in the mentioned period in 2007.
About 2.7mln tons out of the total consignment of trans-shipped cargo fell on bulked cargo (44.35% out of the total consignment) against 2.3mln tons in 2007.
Some 2.6mln (43.36% of the total consignment) fell on general cargo against 2.4mln tons in January-September 2007.
The liquid cargo consignment, transported via the terminal within nine months, was 12.29% of the total volume of loads. This index was reduced from 1.1mln tons in 2007 to 741,200 tons in 2008.
Totally there are 16 terminals in Poti, and oil and oil products are transported only via two terminals, is stated on the official Internet-website of the port.
