Georgia and Turkey actively cooperate in development of energy sector: PM
Georgia, Tbilisi, Dec. 24 / Trend , N.Kirtskhalia /In January 2009, a delegation of Turkish businessmen investing in different sectors of economy in Georgia will come to the country, Grigol Mgalobishvili, the Georgian PM, said in Istanbul.
Mgalobishvili held meetings with Turkish President and MP and discuss the economic cooperation issues.
"We mainly debated the energy cooperation issues. We touched upon the building of a new electricity transmission between Georgia and Turkey," Mgalobishvili added.
Alexander Khetaguri, the Georgian Energy Minster, who accompanied Mgalobishvili to Istanbul, said that the construction of the new electricity transmission would be launched in 2009 and would be completed to 2011.
"This will allow providing our water resources," the minister said.
