Ukraine may export 3 billion kilowatt/hour power to Belarus: minister

Ukraine intends to export roughly 3 billion kilowatt/hour power to Belarus in 2009, Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan told journalists on Jan. 21.
Ukraine's export potential on electricity makes up more than 6 billion kilowatt/hour, he said.
On Jan. 19 Ukraine's First Prime Minister Alexander Turchinov said that Kiev will sign a contract to export power to Belarus and its further transit to the Baltic countries and Poland soon.
