In January-February, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) produced 25,930 tons of bitumen compared to 16,260 tons in the same period in 2008, SOCAR reported.
A total of 220,370 tons of oil bitumen in 2008 and 182,860 tons in 2007 were produced in Azerbaijan.
In 2006, SOCAR produced 161,940 tons of bitumen.
