A price of $60-70 per barrel of oil is efficient for implementation of investment programs and production of hydrocarbons in Azerbaijan, President of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev told journalists on June 15.
Last week, the oil prices reached $65-72 per barrel.
"Even in the case of drop of oil prices, SOCAR continued implementing huge programs," Abdullaye said.
There are 57 oil-gas fields in Azerbaijan, out of which 18 are offshore and the rest onshore. Roughly 60,000 people are occupied in SOCAR.
