There are strong political relations between Azerbaijan and Poland, said on Thursday the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the joint press conference with the President of Poland Lech Kaczynski after the ceremony of awarding the Heydar Aliyev Order to President of Poland, AzerTAj state news agency reported.
Ilham Aliyev said that in the economic sphere good results are achieved.
Head of Azerbaijan stressed the importance of cooperation in the energy field.
"In recent years we have seen the development of Polish-Azerbaijani relations in the energy field. This area is very important for Azerbaijan, as well as to Poland, for Europe. Poland-Azerbaijan relations are developing in this direction both in bilateral and in a larger format. The actions, which we call the Krakow Initiative, serve to the deepening of regional cooperation", said Ilham Aliyev.
According to him, the feasibility study of the Odessa-Brody-Gdansk pipeline is already prepared.
