AI-98 petroleum sold in Azerbaijan

AI-98 Euro-super petroleum was sold for 1.1 manat per liter at one of filling stations in Baku. Refineries (refinery named after Heydar Alieyv and Azneftyag) do not produce this kind of petroleum, SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) said on July 7.
"This product was likely to be imported to Azerbaijan," SOCAR representative said.
Petroleum of this kind is not produced in Azerbaijan due to lack of effective demand for this product, he said.
Major consumers of this petroleum are owners of premium-class cars.
Presently, AI-95, AI-92 and AI-80 petroleum produced at Baku filling stations are sold on the Azerbaijani market.
According to Azerbaijani Tariff council, price for AI-95 petroleum is fixed in the amount of 0.6 manat per liter from January 8, 2007, 0.55 manat for AI-92, 0.55 manat for AI-80.
