Turkmenistan has reduced gas supplies to Iran by 45 percent since early 2009 (in Iran a new year begins on March 21) compared to the same period of 2008, Director of the Central Control Room of the Iran National Gas Company, Hasan Muntazir Turbati said, Mehr news agency reported.
Turbati said Turkmenistan has delivered 960 million cubic meters of gas since early 2009 and 1.730 billion cubic meters compared to the same period of 2008.
"Turkmenistan supplied averagely 8 million cubic meters of gas per day in 2009," Turbati said.
