EU Troika delegation to hold meetings in Turkmen several ministries

Representatives of EU Troika delegation visiting Ashgabat will hold several meetings, Turkmen Dovlet Haberleri state news agency said.
The delegation will visit Majlis (Parliament), the foreign ministry, the ministry of finances, state agency for governance and use of hydrocarbon resources under the President, national institute of democracy and human rights under the President and state service on combat against drugs, information said.
Turkmen Dovlet Haberleri said that next meeting in Ashgabat is aimed to develop common approaches of EU countries and Turkmenistan towards optimal model of mutually beneficial cooperation. It confirms intention of the sides to steadily expand constructive interesting dialogue developing within EU strategy on Central Asia.
Agenda includes partnership in fuel-energy sector, education, trade and economy, etc. "Strengthening of cooperation with European countries is one of strategic vectors of Turkmen foreign policy. Broad international cooperation in common interests is major priority," Turkmen Dovlet Haberleri said.
Visit of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov to Brussels in November 2007 gave push to new stage in developing of dialogue with EU. Turkmen President held several important talks with heads of EU within the visit.
Turkmen Dovlet Haberleri said that each side will take serious actions to intensify cooperation given mutual interests and potentialities in future, especially, exchange of governmental delegations intensified, business, scientific and cultural contacts were established, mutual projects within EU famous programs as TEMPUS, TASIS and ERASMUS MUNDUS are realized.
