The daily gas production will increase by 28.5 million cubic meters in Iran due to the launch of the work on the platforms in phases 6, 7 and 8 of the South Pars offshore project in the subsequent weeks, representative of the Iranian company Petropars on 6-8 phases, Karim Hasanzade, said.
Over the next two weeks of daily gas production at phases 6, 7 and 8 of the South Pars project will reach 104 million cubic meters, Hasanzade added.
At present, the company produces 57 million cubic meters of gas per day at phases 6 and 7 of the South Pars project, Hasanzade said.
Hasanzade said that the investments in the sea phase (6, 7 and 8) of the South Pars project, was $1.5 billion. The development of phases 6, 7 and 8 of the South Pars project required additional investment. Therefore, an additional $340 million has been allocated. Moreover, it is proposed to allocate another $430 million. If additional funds are not invested, the development of the project will face problems.
