Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 30 / Trend , A. Badalova /

The average price for gas in North America on the basis Henry Hub (Nymex) in 2009 was predicted by one of the world's largest U.S. bank JPMorgan, will stand at $154.4 per thousand cubic meters as compared to $166.1 per thousand cubic meters, predicted by the bank earlier.

The bank's monthly report says in the fourth quarter of this year, an average price for gas will increase to $183.8 compared to $128.7 cubic meters per thousand cubic meters in the third quarter. These figures, however, are lower than those which the bank projected earlier ($196.7 and $156.2 per thousand cubic meters, respectively).

The bank did not change the forecast of an average gas price in 2010 and left it at $218.3 per barrel.

The maximum price for gas next year will occur in the fourth quarter - $238.9 per thousand cubic meters, the minimum - in the second quarter - $202.2.
