Nabucco to be supplied with Iranian gas if its cost is appraised: head of gas export company
Azerbaijan, Baku, October 3 / Trend /
EU representatives are greatly interested in getting Iranian gas for Nabucco gas pipeline, the director general of the National Iranian Gas Export Company, Reza Kasaeizadeh, said.
"Presently, the price for gas is being discussed. If we agree concerning the price, great volume of gas of Nabucco pipeline will be supplied by Iran," Kasaeizadeh said, Iranian information agency ISNA reported.
Kasaeizadeh said that five countries-gas consumers participated in signing the agreement on Nabucco. But the agreements have been signed with countries-gas suppliers yet.
"Major reason of Iran's nonparticipation in the meetings on Nabucco is political issues. But it is true that they (Europeans) need Iranian gas as European companies are negotiating concerning purchase of Iranian gas," Kasaeizadeh said.
