Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 10 / Trend E.Ismayilov /

In January-September, KazTransOil has transported about 37.7 million tons compared to 35.1 million tons in the same period of 2008, the company said.

In January-September, goods turnover via the main pipelines of the KazTransOil amounted to more than 25 billion tons kilometers compared to 24.3 billion tons of kilometers in January-September 2009.

The growth of oil transportation through the company's pipeline system is connected with an increase in output.

Given the close interaction among the oil transport systems of Kazakhstan and the CIS countries, strengthening cooperation of KazTransOil with pipeline companies of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in the field of transport and transit of Kazakh oil plays a significant role in growth of oil transportation.

In January-September about 13 million tons of oil pumped into the Atirau-Samara pipeline for further transit to Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, compared to more than 12.4 million tons of oil.

The volume of oil transportation via the Atasu-Alashankou pipeline also increased. In January-September the volume of oil transportation was more than 5.5 million tons compared to 4.4 million tons in January-September of 2008.

In September transportation of Russia's oil pipeline reached record levels via the TON-2 section, located on the Kazakh territory. The volume of Russia's oil transit via this pipeline amounted to 546,000 tons. In January-September the transportation volume through this pipeline was about 3.9 million tons compared to about 3.6 million tons in the same period of 2008.
