Kyrgyzgas chief leaves for Uzbekistan for talks
Director of the Kyrgyzgas Company Salamat Aitikeev has left for Tashkent Wednesday morning to resume talks with the neighboring country, "24.kg" reported.
Earlier official Tashkent has refused any talks with Kyrgyzstan and cut off supplies to the South Kyrgyzstan.
As of October 14, 2009 Kyrgyzstan paid off only $4.6 million of its $19 million debt.
Aitikeev is expected to persuade Uzbek authorities into resuming gas supply to Kyrgyzstan and lifting all the restrictions.
