After repair, SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) launched gas wells in shallow water Guneshli independently developed by the company, SOCAR said on Oct. 27.
Daily production of the well is 150,000 cubic meters of gas, which is produced from a depth of 2,225-2,267 meters.
The well has been operated by oil and gas production unit "28 May" since May 2007 and up to now, this well produced 393 million cubic meters of gas and 11,100 tons of gas condensate.
Guneshli is the largest oil and gas field developed by SOCAR independently.
60 percent of its oil and 70 percent of the total volume of gas produced by SOCAR account for the field. The field is owned by oil and gas production unit "28 May".
Drilling new wells is carried out under the new 2008-2010 development program of "28 May", which is developing shallow Guneshli. The program is planned for the stabilization of oil production and increasing gas production.
