Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 11 / Trend , E.Ismayilov/

Azerbaijan will produce about 27.2 billion cubic meters of gas in 2010 compared to 25.5 billion in 2009, according to the 2010 draft public budget.

In 2011, the country will produce about 28.7 billion cubic meters of gas, while the figure will hit 30 billion in 2012 and 31.3 billion in 2013.

A total of 10.5 billion cubic meters from the total gas volume will be produced from a block of the offshore Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil and gas fields compared to 10 billion this year. Of the total volume of gas to be produced from the fields, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) will receive 2.9 billion cubic meters compared to 2.87 billion in 2009.

As part of the development of the offshore Shah Deniz gas condensate field, about 8.7 billion cubic meters of gas will be produced in 2010 compared to 7.5 billion in 2009. From the total volume of gas to be produced from the field in 2010, Azerbaijan will receive around 1.6 billion cubic meters compared to 688 million this year.

In 2010, SOCAR is expected to produce 8 billion cubic meters of gas from the fields developed at its own expense - the same figure as this year.
