Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec.10 / Trend , E.Ismayilov /
The State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents said yesterday that it is monitoring the quality of petroleum products at gas stations in Azerbaijani regions.
"The monitoring continues and it was planned to conduct them next year," the committee said.
According to the committee, the monitoring revealed that five of 37 gas stations in Baku and the surrounding villages do not meet diesel fuel quality standards. A-95 petrol quality was low at two of the stations.
"The quality of A-95 at two gas stations was lower than declared," the committee added.
Data gathered during inspections in the regions will be announced in the near future.
The committee monitors the oil bases of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Russian Oil Company Lukoil, which is involved in oil projects in Azerbaijan and has its own network of gas stations.
"So far, no problems have been found," the committtee said.
