The two-day symposium on 'Energy Exporters: Politics, Society, Economics' is held in Baku in the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA). The symposium is held to increase knowledge about Azerbaijan in the world scientific communities, establishing links between the Azerbaijani and foreign scholars, the strengthening of relations to implement educational reforms in Azerbaijan.
Doctors of philosophic sciences and people working for doctor's degree of Azerbaijan and other countries attend the symposium. During the event, twenty young Azerbaijani scholars, including those studying in doctorate of prestigious European and U.S universities, will discuss the distinguishing features of countries-energy exporters.
In his opening speech the U.S. Dr. Frederick Starr stressed the role of the ADA. "I admire the work of the Diplomatic Academy not only in Azerbaijan but throughout the region and the world," the Johns Hopkins University Professor Starr said.
He said that ADA plays a role of a mediator and a peculiar brain in the region in the exchange of scientific ideas and experiences, which is very important.
