The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) put into operation high debit gas well in Guneshli offshore field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR said on Jan. 7. The shallow-water part of the Guneshli field is exploited by SOCAR at its own expense and belongs to the 28 May Oil and Gas Production Unit.
The daily debit of the well on Guneshli 19 platform is 300,000 cubic meters of gas and 40 tons of condensate.
Guneshli 19 platform, which was put into operation in 2001, was designed for drilling 8 wells. However, later it was decided to expand the platform to 12 wells in accordance with SOCAR's gas program. At present, 11 high debit wells with daily production of 1.2 million cubic meters of gas and 1,600 ton of oil and gas condensate are under exploitation on the Gunashli field.
800 million cubic meters of gas and 285,000 tons of oil and gas condensate have been produced since exploitation of the platform.
At present, daily gas production in the Guneshli field is 16.7 million cubic meters of gas.
